How to reach us with a complaint
Serious complaint about a job, an assigned contractor, or how Knoxville Asbestos Removal handled your request? Two channels — both go to a real person:
- Email contact@knoxvilleasbestosremoval.com with the subject line “Complaint” and as much detail as you can share (date of service, contractor name if known, what happened).
- Call the 24 Hour Call Line at (865) 420-5764 and say you want to file a complaint. Ask for a supervisor if the first person cannot help.
What happens after you complain
- Acknowledged within one business day.
- We contact the assigned contractor for their account of the situation.
- We respond to you with a proposed resolution within five business days.
- If you are not satisfied with the resolution, we will escalate to the Cosmic Phoenix LLC, Cheyenne, WY operations team.
Complaints about licensing or work quality
If your complaint is about licensing, insurance, or the technical quality of asbestos work performed, you also have the option (and often the better path) to file directly with the state regulator:
- TDEC (Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation) handles asbestos abatement licensing and standards enforcement. File a complaint through their website or by phone.
- Knox County Air Quality Management handles local air-quality and NESHAP-notification complaints for regulated commercial work.
- The state Attorney General’s consumer protection division handles unfair-business-practice complaints.
We take every complaint seriously. Repeat problems with a specific contractor result in that contractor being removed from our network — the network only stays useful to homeowners if problem crews are shown the door.
